Compliment your medical pursuits with a cultural exploration into medicine and illness.
If you plan to pursue a career in the medical field, 埃尔迈拉大学’s 医学人文 minor will round out your education and make you a better candidate for employment or graduate studies. You’ll go beyond the medical sciences and explore how a person’s health is influenced by their personal and cultural experiences.
Through an interdisciplinary approach, you’ll learn how wellness is intricately connected with identity, 社区, 灵性, 道德, 语言, 文化, 技术, 艺术, 和历史. You’ll develop an understanding in focus areas such as how human identity and experience shape illness, the impact of cultural perspectives on physical and mental health, concepts and representations of the human body, the ethical and spiritual dimensions of medical knowledge and practice, 还有社会, 历史, and political perspectives related to medicine.
Knowledge in 医学人文 will help you become a more compassionate healthcare professional equipped with the critical thinking skills needed to address current medical needs. 根据美国.S.
